Sardine & Herb Pâté with Lemon and Greek Yogurt

This pâté has a creamy texture and a fresh, zesty flavour. It’s simple, yet packed with nutrients from sardines, and it’s perfect for spreading on crackers, toast, or pairing with veggie sticks.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tin of sardines in olive oil (drained)

  • 3 tbsp Greek yogurt

  • 1 clove garlic, minced (optional for extra flavour)

  • Zest and juice of 1/2 lemon

  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped

  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard (for a slight kick)

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, add the sardines and mash them with a fork until mostly smooth.

  2. Add the Greek yoghurt, garlic (if using), lemon zest and juice, parsley, and mustard. Mix everything together until well combined.

  3. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Adjust lemon juice or yoghurt as needed for your preferred tanginess and creaminess.

  4. Serve on toasted bread, crackers, or as a dip with sliced veggies.

This pâté is loaded with protein, healthy fats, and Vitamin D, making it a tasty and nutritious addition to your snack or meal!
